New Download at SimCity.com
by Rand Huck @ 9:51 PM EDT
It's about time for a new Maxis download at its SimCity homepage, don't you think? :-) The Yeongnam Jaeil-kwan building, which in real life is in Korea, is now available for download here. The building will only work for SimCity 3000 Unlimited, however.

I was curious as to find a site that would give me more information on this building, but to no avail. If anyone can give me additional information on this building, it would be much appreciated. With your permission I might even publish it on the site, giving you credit, of course. :-)

GamePen SimCity 4 Preview
by Kevin Stange @ 1:55 PM EDT
Frontenac pointed out a new SimCity 4 preview over at GamePen which seems to provide a really interesting and in-depth description of what's new in the upcoming game.

From the preview, many fans will probably find the planned lack of a SimCity 3000 city importation tool saddening, however the preview promises many other awesome features that might just be enough to offset the concern.

Once again, the area of effect and improved microsimulation features are among the hot topics with the reporter, but he's equally amazed by the way the game looks. This preview gives an excellent and worthwhile perspective on the game, so check it out here!

New Titles Appear at EB
by Kevin Stange @ 4:48 PM EDT
Electronics Boutique is now listing two new titles on its web site.

Currently available for preorder are The Sims Unleashed and The Sims Deluxe. No information is currently known about either product other than Unleashed's retail price of $30, and Deluxe's retail of $50. EB's project release date for both titles is September 17th, which may be unreliable.

SimPage.net is attempting to confirm the existence of these titles and is awaiting a statement from Maxis.
